Car just died and had no fire to plugs. installed a new ignitor and still no fire. I intalled new coil and it started, but 2 days later just died again with no fire. What could burn up the coil?

If the ignition wires have a very high path of resistance it could burn up the coil very easily. However for it to happen in 2 days is a bit of a stretch.
