I have a 96 Acura Integra GSR manual and when I switch gears it doesnt fully kick in until about 3000 rpm's and my engine light is on. When I'm on the freeway and get between 70 and 80 mph it kind of shutters. What could possibly be the problem?

sounds like you are describing a misfire. when was the last tune up? spark plugs and wires? start there or have a tech road test it
