Hi there, i have a '95 Acura Interga LS. Today as I was driving the engine oil light came up so I immeadietly pulled over into a gas station and checked it out. What's going on is that when the car is shut off, the dip stick shows there is no oil in the engine, however when the car is start and running it shows there IS oil. I know it's not time for an oil change yet because i got one 2K miles ago. What might be the problem and how can I fix it

HI there,

You always check the engine oil with the engine off, if it has been running let it sit for a mew minuets before checking level, if you check it with the engine running, the dip stick is just covered with oil that is splashing around in the sum and this is a false reading.
