1994 integra ls automatic. i bought it 7k miles ago. it idles fine. the entire time ive had it it seems to shift hard, a lot harder than my older 1993 one did, also auto. it also seems to not want to downshift when i press the petal. any ideas on this issue? from what i can tell it may be something simple like a tranny flush that could fix it, unless it isnt a small thing, but im not sure. it hasnt affected the performance of the car, ive put the 7k miles on it in only 3 months, so its doing great. but id like to keep it a long time and would prefer i know what this problem is.

A trusted mechanic can probably do this for you. I would not attempt to do it myself as a typical user does not have the proper equipment.
