1994 Acura Integra Blown Head Gasket

I have a integra that had a blown gasket. the previous owner had it fixed but smokes still comes out. i heard that it was burning oil. how do i fix that myself? they gave me a new motor to swap but will that fix the problem? can i do anything to keep the old motor?
