eng. light is on,so i jumper wire on service connector.The eng. lightblinked 2 long,and 3 fast,number 23 right? looked up in code book nonumber 23 on list for 1994-95 1.8L.I'm trying to pass smog test,thefirst time i tested it failed 15mph, NO(PPM) it meas at 791 max is 711,the guy found nipple broken on EVAP canister,the one that says tank,so i fixed it.Than the eng. light came on when i drove the car,it dose'nt come on until you reach speeds of like 20mph.Any information would be very very help-full. problem with the knock sensor circuit.
reset the ecm first.
disconnect the battery completely(cable has no contact with battery) and let it sit overnight.
once you start it,let the car idle until the radiator fan shuts off twice.
road test it to see if it comes back on.hopefully not.
