Hi there,

There is no real effective way to do this, if you have a compression leak via a valve, then the valve will need to be re cut as will the seat, the head has to be removed to do this.

Hi there,

If you do an air pressure test, that is introduce low pressure compressed air into the cylinder with it at TDC, you will hear it leak out the exhaust or the induction, you will need a special adapter to do this, but in 99% of the case it will be the exhaust vale that is burnt as it rubs so much hotter, regardless all valves should be re cut or replaced as required with the head off.
