when i turn it makes a ticking noise. does that mean i just need new axles? and also when im in a gear and im pressing on the accelator it kicks in for a second then i press and nothing happens then kicks in again. does that have to do with axles? its speeds up then stops for a second then kicks back in and u feel a jerk

Yes check CV joints one or more are faulty. The clicking is worn joint the jerking maybe joint spining in housing then catching.
