1990 Acura Integra I cant get out the alternator

is there an easier way to rplace the alternator without removing the CV joint/ drive axle

On certain vehicle you can remove the master cylinder and just move it to the side with the lines still attached. But with an older vehicle, you may break on of the lines. So I'd say, remove the axle.
