1989 Acura Integra Temperature gauge is in the cold area

I bought my 1989 integra about 3 days ago and am noticeing the temperature gauge reads cold. And does not go up. What do youthink the problem is? I've never heard of a car being that cold.

Check the connection of the coolant temperature sending unit for the gauge. Could also be wiring or the gauge itself.
