My battery has kept dying over the last few months, even when it was warmer. I can easily jump start the engine using my mobile starter, and it usually can last a couple of days, depending how much driving I do before I stop. Therefore it seems to me that the battery does recharge to some point, however it "leaks" pretty quickly overtime.

Before I go and buy a new battery, I was wondering if anyone had an idea if what the actual problem is. Does it sound like the battery needs changing, or could something else cause the battery to leak energy?

Thank you,
Best regards.

Hello
It sounds like your alternator may not be properly putting out enough to keep your battery charged.

Please go to Auto Zone (AZ) or O'Reilly's (OR) and for FREE they can bring their tester out and check your battery, alternator and starter. While there for FREE also they can pull the codes to the car. Most important: Once they check your codes, if they find something and you don't get it fixed and need to get back with us, please make sure you tell us exactly what the code was, number and all. Example, if the code was E0568 O2 Sensor bad.

Could be a short circuit in the electrical system that's eating up the battery overnite or the alternator is not putting out enough to recondition the battery-

Get both the battery and the alternator load tested
