Me and my friend disconnected the system in my car and he touched the exhaust manifold to the positive on the alternator which caused it to arch and I immediately went to try and turn it on. The engine didn't crank and the interior lights nor any of the dash lights would come on. I checked the alternator and the screw is burnt. The only thing I can think is replacing the alternator, check the fuses, or my electrical system of the car is completely fried. If its a fuse what chat controls all the power in the car? Or you think the alternator would cause that? The battery still has power so I know that's fine

Hi aaronschuck,

Check the main fuses in under hood fuse box. One of it is blown. It is the type with 2 screws, one at either end.
