WHY DID MY CAR OVERHEAT AND THE RADIATOR HOSE BURST?

Hi POPPYSEED,

Should be the other way round.

Your radiator hose burst causing the overheating. It is probably due to old age. Top hose is more likely to burst as it is running hot most of the time but you should get all the other hoses checked too.

Hope the overheating was not too bad, otherwise you are going to spend a lot of money on removal and installation of the head and gsasket.
