The wipers on my car are hitting the A-pillar and base where they rest when they are in use. What would I need to adust or tighten to prevent this from continuing?

Hi aso333,

If it is over running on both the upper and lower side, you most probably has the wrong size wiper blades. Over sized length.

if it is making contact with both sides at the same time, the wiper assembly's linkages are worn.
unfortunately, there is no repair for worn linkages.
you will have to replace the entire wiper assembly.
