I JUST REPLACE THE EGR VALVE ABOUT 3 WEEKS AGO AND THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT CAME BACK ON BUT I DISCONNECTED THE BATTERY AND IT CAME OFF.

Disconnecting the battery will reset the computer. The engine light will illuminate again within a few days if the problem is still present. If it does come back on, get the codes by having a local auto part store such as AutoZone scan your vehicle with a diagnostic scanner. They will do this for free. Post the engine codes that they give you and I will follow up.
