When I turn my car on it acts like it will shut off before it gets going but once it has that little stutter it is fine. It did shut off twice but that is it. I recently got the PCV valve and hose replaced so I am afraid the mechanic messed something up. I am not car savvy so I am bad at explaining. See the video attached.

Hi and thanks for using 2CarPros.com. Since this started after the PCV valve was replaced, I have a feeling you have a vacuum leak. Here are general directions for checking for a vacuum leak:

https://www.2carpros.com/articles/how-to-use-an-engine-vacuum-gauge

If you find there is a leak, here are the directions for removing and replacing the PCV. Chances are, the hose is cracked, disconnected, or not fully in place. The pictures I have attached correlate with these directions.

SERVICE AND REPAIR
REMOVAL
Detach the Positive Crankcase Ventilation (PVC ) hose (catalytic converter removed for clarity).
Drain the cooling system. For additional information, refer to Cooling System.
Detach the thermostat housing and secure to one side.
Detach the PCV hose.
Raise and support the vehicle. For additional information, refer to Maintenance/Service and Repair.
Remove the PCV hose from the intake manifold.
INSTALLATION
To install, reverse the removal procedure.

Please let me know if this helps or if you have other questions.

Take care,
Joe
