My car Mitsubishi Dion. It will not go over 2,500 rpm's.

Hello,

Is the check engine light on? It sounds like you have a clogged catalytic converter but to be sure lets run down this guide:

How is the fuel pump or fuel filter? Let's test the fuel pressure and fuel filter. here is a guide to help walk you thought he steps you can rent a gauge for free at the auto parts store:

The problem is I don't know the location of the fuel filter.

It should be back at the fuel tank, follow the fuel line from the tank to the engine.
