I just purchased the vehicle, and my friend was trying to help me check fluids and he accidentally put power steering fluid in my transmission. Can I just drain everything out? I spent every dime buying it and can't afford to take it into a shop.

Power steering fluid and transmission are very similar how much do you put in? If it was just a little bit, I wouldn't worry about it. But if you feel safer changing the fluid out here is a guide to help you step by step and instructions in the images below to help you with your car.

Valve Body Cover Removal .................... 5.0-7.0L (5.3-7.4 Quarts)

Fluid Change- Drain Plug .................... 4.0-6.0L (4.2-6.3 Quarts)
DEXRON-VI Automatic Transmission Fluid.

Check out the images (below). Please let us know if you need anything else to get the problem fixed.
