Access to blower motor fan resistor

1994 JEEP GRAND CHEROKEE

I understand for my vehicle the blower fan resistor is close to the blower fan, but to gain access, does one have to remove the glove compartment?

Removal

The blower motor resistor is located under the glove box and can be removed from the passenger compartment.

1. Disconnect the negative cable from the battery.
2. Remove the blower motor resistor connector(s).
3. Remove the resistor retaining screws.
