Yesterday the ETC light came on and I cannot accelerate over 15 miles an hour. Trying to do the reset according to what I found on Google but that didn't work. Ordered a new sensor from O'Reilly's and I get up this morning and turn the car on and the problem is gone. Wondering if I should replace a sensor anyway?

HI and thanks for using 2CarPros.

Were there any other lights on? Also, the ETC should have set a code in the computer. Did you scan it for codes? Here is a quick video showing how it is done:

If you don't own a scanner, most parts stores will scan it for you. I suggest this because the ETC works together with wheel speed sensors and it may or may not be related directly to the ETC. If it happens again, press the ESP/TSC button to turn off traction control and see if that changes things. Note: The system will automatically turn back on after the car is turned off and then back on, or you can manually turn it back on by pressing the button again.

Do that and let me know what codes you find and if there is a change when turning off the electronic stability program.
