Hi,

This vehicle is not offered in the US, but I think it is similar to the Toyota Yaris. What I can tell you is this. This code will set if a malfunction is detected with the throttle body, acceleration pedal position sensor, or a throttle position sensor, or if a new component has recently been replaced.

I am going to try my best to help. Can you tell me if any of the throttle control components have been replaced? Do you notice any changes in how the vehicle is running?

Here are the relearn procedures for the Yaris:

_______________________________________________________

PERFORM INITIALIZATION

NOTICE:
Perform the following procedure after replacing the ECM, throttle body assembly or any throttle body components. The following procedure should also be performed if the throttle body is cleaned.

(a)Disconnect the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal. Wait at least 60 seconds and reconnect the cable.

(b)Turn the ignition switch to ON without operating the accelerator pedal.

NOTICE:
If the accelerator pedal is operated, perform the above steps again.

(c)Connect the Techstream to the DLC3 and clear the DTCs See: Computers and Control Systems > Reading and Clearing Diagnostic Trouble Codes > DTC Check / Clear.

(d)Start the engine and check that the MIL is not illuminated and that the idle speed is within the specified range when the A/C is switched off after the engine is warmed up.

Standard (for Automatic Transaxle):

see pic 1

Standard (for Manual Transaxle):

see pic 2

HINT
* Be sure to perform this step with all accessories off.
* Make sure that the shift lever is in neutral.
(e)Enter the following menus: Power-train / Engine and ECT / Data List / Throttle Sensor Position. Fully depress the accelerator pedal and check that the value is 60% or more.

(f)Perform a road test and confirm that there are no abnormalities.

Let me know.

Joe

Hello, thanks for your reply. Where and how can I get the tech-stream software to get this done? I’m living in Africa and it’s very difficult to get access to that software.

Hi,

I'm not sure where you would get something like that where you are located. Are there any shops that have good scanners that could perform this process?

I wish I could better help, but I'm not sure what is available to you.

I Looked up on the internet and it says I need a techstream software registration key before I would be able to use the software and all the payment method for getting the is not available here in my country. I would be much grateful if you can help me get the software key. Your kind gesture would be highly appreciated. Thank you

Hi,

That is something that comes with the program when purchased. I don't have it.

I'm sorry. I wish I could do more.
