Hi,

A very common cause of power loss is a partially plugged catalytic converter. Are there any odd smells or sounds from the exhaust? Also, a weak fuel pump can also cause this. If you haven't checked the fuel pump pressure to the engine, I would recommend that as well.

Is the check engine light staying on while the engine is running? If it is, have you had the computer scanned for diagnostic trouble codes? If not, have that done. Most parts stores will do it free of charge. Then, let me know what is found

Here is a link that explains how to test fuel pressure. You will need a fuel pressure gauge, but most parts stores will lend one to you.

Also, let me know if there are any odd odors from the exhaust or smoke.

Let me know.

Take care,

Joe
