A/C will not blowout on first setting

124,000 MILES • 2.0L • 4 CYL • 2WD • AUTOMATIC

The compressor kicks on but nothing blows out the air vent. When I turn the A/C switch to second setting the A/C light goes out and A/C compressor kicks off, cold air blows out for just a few seconds and then turns to hot air out the vent.

Good afternoon,

This sounds like you have a bad blower resistor. It is right behind the glove box door. I attached a picture for you.

I attached a wiring diagram as well.

You can get the part at any parts store.
