When operating the vehicle at highway speeds, I have an annoying whistle while the recirc button is active. When I turn recirculate off, the whistle goes away. Am I looking at pulling the dash to replace the actuator, or is there something simpler that I can try?

A whistling noise can be tough, it can be caused by a piece of insulation that is now missing, I would try the blend door actuator which will be the easiest fix, here is the location so you can check it out or replace the actuator. Check out the images (below). Please upload pictures or videos in your response of any problems so we can see what to help you with.

Yes, you may need to remove a trim panel as well. If you get stuck upload images of the part in question and I can help you. Have a good weekend!
