AC stops working after some time

AC works for 15-20 minutes and then stops working.
And when I switch off car for some time and start again AC starts working again.

Hi,

When you say it stops, do you mean the fan stops or the air no longer is cold? Take a look through this link and see if there is anything that helps. Also, let me know exactly what is happening. If you lose cold air only, confirm the AC compressor isn't cycling on and off.

Have A/C clutch gap adjusted that may do it.

Hello,

Just to jump in, when I was at Volvo the compressor clutch would wear out. Using a feeler gauge measure the clearance. It should be between 0.3 and 0.5 millimeters. If you are out of spec here is the repair procedure for the clutch. Here are the instructions in the diagrams below on how to replace the ac compressor clutch coil. Check out the diagrams (below). Please let us know what happens.
