A/C intermittently blows cold and hot air?

Replaced A/C compressor. Refilled Freon. The A/C was working beautifully for about ten minutes while driving. Then it started blowing hot air. Next day while driving it was blowing hot air, then suddenly it blew cold air. Could the be the expansion valve, or is the compressor bad?

It could be the compressor but when the system stops working can you see the clutch engaged? I have seen the clutch coil go out and cause this problem. Please go over this guide:

If the clutch is engaged check the large A/C tube coming from the firewall to the compressor, it should be cold. If so, you have a temperature blend door actuator going out. Can I ask if the A/C stops working on both side of the dash, passenger and drivers' side?
