Dear Friends,
AC PROBLEM "WHEN I ACCELERATE ITS COOLING DOWN BUT WHILE I AM DRIVING SLOW INSIDE CITY IT IS BLOWING WARM"
I am contacting you guys from Afghanistan where we haven't got any Toyota Dealer/Service center, and I have got a Toyota Camry 2010, actually its AC was working normal. But a month ago I faced a problem with it. When the car is slow the AC system is not cooling down but when I accelerate the car and the car gets faster it gets cold. I checked with AC repair shop they said the AC system doesn't work I have to replace the system.

I will be much thankful if any one here faced the same problem kindly please give me some advise.

Thanks,
Waisuddin Rahimi

That can mean a couple different things. The first thing to check is the operation of the cooling fan. If that is blowing strong, then you may be looking at a worn out compressor that simply cannot pump sufficiently at lower RPMs.
If the fan is not working however, the pressures will climb dangerously high so don't raise the throttle at idle without a fan.

Dear Wrenchtech,

the cooling fan works normally and meanwhile i took my car to the AC repair person, who has said that the compressor is not working pretty good you need to change it. i don't know exactly what to do since they are not used to repair or replace these kind of cars' compressors.

thanks,

You probably want to find a shop that specializes in AC repairs. If the compressor is torn up inside, all the metal chips and debris would have been pushed into the condenser and that should be changed also, along with the receiver dryer.
