AC is working fine when rpm reach 2000 or above but when it is on idle speed AC cooling is negligible. Refilled with Freon top-up fan is working checked whole electrical system. No other faults found. Mechanics are saying that it need compressor replacement. Please suggest the other way.

Get the AC pressures checked at idle and higher rpm. It could be low or overcharged, or a weak compressor.

Put a gauge set on it, then watch the pressures as engine rpm rises. A weak compressor will show as low pressure until it revs up.
Not hard to change on most vehicles.
