R-134 F guava says it’s okay. I looked at clutch and it was not moving when AC is on. I tapped it and started turning and started to cool. Does this mean the clutch is bad?

This is not the recommended diagnostic procedure, but in the real world that is one way to verify that yes the clutch is bad! You are spot on sir!

Thank you BmDouble.
Is it possible the change the clutch without removing the compressor?
It is a very tight area and I am not sure if I can even get to it. Any suggestions?

From what I remember on the 2006 F-150's, you should be able to get to it from underneath. Just lay on a creeper and you can see it from behind the bottom of the shroud. It’s tight but it can be done my friend!

Hello, I'm Danny.

Just to add my two cents. I've attached air gap specification below as a picture. A/C clutch removal/install tools are available at any local auto parts store in their tool loaner program for rent.Hope this helps and thanks again for using 2CarPros.
