So, I have a few questions. First when I turn my heat or A/C on it will come on if I have the setting on the highest settings. All of the lower ones and it doesn't blow what so ever. Next my A/C blows but not cold, I've put freon in it and now I'm trying to check the fuses and relays which brings me to my last question. Where do I find my A/C clutch relay at? Any other information would be greatly appreciated since I'm swelteringly hot in this southern heat! Thanks in advance!

Hi,

If the blower motor only works on the highest setting, the blower motor resister has likely failed.

The resister on this vehicle is under the hood near the blower motor (firewall/passenger side). See pic 1 below. This is what is responsible for the blower motor speed.

Next, based on when the vehicle was produced, the clutch relay could be in one of two positions in the battery junction box (under the hood). I attached a picture of both the early production and late production vehicle's locations.

If you are questioning if the AC compressor is failing or not getting power (bad relay), use a test light at the power supply on the compressor to see if there is power to it when it is requested on.

Let me know if this helps.

Take care,

joe
