The recycle does not work at startup will eventually move to that setting but the hotter it is the longer it takes.

Hi,

There is an intake actuator. That is what determines if you are set on fresh air or recirculating. What I would recommend is to locate the actuator, and make sure the connector is tight as well as the actuator.

If both are good, chances are the actuator is going bad. I would remove it, and while it is still connected, see if it responds when you change from fresh air to recirculate.

The actuator is under the dash but really isn't too hard to access. You need to remove the glove box, behind the glove box and to the left, you will see a black plastic cover. See pic 1 below.

Remove that cover to access the actuator. See pic 2.

Let me know what you find or if you have other questions.

Take care,

Joe

I will give it a try. I figured that is what it was but had a difficult time finding the diagram for the components on this car.

Hi,

Let me know if that takes care of the problem. When you have the actuator removed, make sure there is no drag where it connects.

If you need help, let me know.

Take care,

Joe

Hi,

If you are referring to the mode door actuator, the pics I sent earlier show its location. Is that what you are referring to or is it something different?

Let me know.

Take care,

Joe
