A/C not cooling?

1999 HONDA ACCORD
190,000 MILES • 2.2L • 4 CYL • 2WD • AUTOMATIC

I replaced the climate control module because it wasn't working and now it blows, and all of the A/C lights come on, but the air is still hot. I have recharged the system and checked the clutch on the compressor, and it is working. Any idea what is wrong? Anything is helpful. thank you.

Hi,

If the A/C is charged and the clutch is engaging, the next thing to check would be the blend air door actuator. The blend door is what is responsible for the air temperature entering the vehicle.

One simple test would be to see if the heater works. The same door provides heat in one direction and A/C in the opposite.

Even if the heater does work, I would recommend removing the actuator motor and seeing if it will respond when you change to the A/C setting.
