AC was running great then starts blowing hot air. Compressor not working. Then in a little while or the next day will blow ice cold for most of the the day then start blowing hot air again. Then it might come back on in a few minutes or an hour ice cold again.

Good afternoon.

The first thing that comes to mind is that the system may be icing up.

Does it sweat water on the ground? If not, the drain may be clogged and that will effect the Freon flow through the evaporator.

Is the blower motor working on all speeds? It must have air flow or the system will ice up.

Do you have a cabin air filter? If you do, how long since you changed it?

Do you have a set of gauges to give me the high and low side pressures to se if the system pressures are correct?
