AC/heater fan not working?

I have a 1993 Mazda Protégé that has an intermittent problem with the AC/heater fan not working. One day the AC/heater fan will not turn on at any setting. The next day it will work on all settings. It will work for a month or so and then it encounters the same problem that is it quits working.
Any suggestions to resolve the issue would be appreciated.

Yep, this probably means the blower motor is going out, I would remove the old blower motor and replace it with a new unit. 9 times out of 10 the motor is the problem. The blower motor is on the right side of the car under the dash. Check out the images (below). Let us know how it goes
