The A/C system in this van gets really weak or diminishes whenever I approach uphills or freeway up slants. It either slows down blowing cold air until the road gets to even parallel.

Good morning.

This system work on vacuum to keep the blend doors in one position when commanded. Under a load, there is a tank or check valve that should keep the doors in the correct position until you let up on the accelerator. You either have a vacuum leak from a hose or the check valve or tank is leaking.

Check the vacuum lines carefully for any breaks or leaks. If none are found the tank needs to be replaced.
