Since I replaced the driver side blend door my A/C controls will not switch off the front vents. There is also nothing coming out of the rear vents. Any suggestions?

It sounds like the orientation of the blend door drive is not timed correctly or the actuator is defective. Also, it says to Initiate the Actuator Calibration function using a scan tool, did you do this? Check out the images (below). Please let us know what happens.

Sorry for the delay, I was just able to test the actuators. The scan tool showed everything functioning properly.

Okay, let's remove the actuator and work the blend door pivot by hand when the system is on low to see if you can actuate the door by hand. This guide will show you what I am talking about:

Please go over this guide and get back to us.

Just the one you replaced, did the system work okay before you replaced the actuator?

It was still acting up on occasion not switching vents. I did this before I replaced the actuator, I was able to move the door and change the temperature. The actuator I replaced was for the heat control on the driver side.

Okay, then I would go back to moving the driver's side actuator pivot by hand to see if that fixed the problem.

I tried doing it by hand but that only controlled the heat function on the driver's side.

Okay so that works, does the drivers side work okay with the actuator connected? It might be you have a mode actuator that is not working. Lets try the same process for this actuator to see if things change.

Sure, it looks like it is down low in the middle of the heater plenum. Check out the images (below). Let us know how it goes.

It might be under the plenum. Can you upload some images of what you are seeing?

Hmm, I don't see it either, does this truck have dual zone climate controls? It might be further under the HVAC plenum, this is all they show for the location.

I found the mode door actuator it was the one by the steering column. I realized it was working properly, but the gear plate it is on is out of alignment. Do you have an image of it in alignment?

Nice work, I found it as well, it is called the mode actuator 2. I don't see the gear you are talking about though. This shows all of the actuators.

Right behind the actuator it has a cover then instead is a plate with slots in it that align to move the doors. I can’t get the alignment right for some reason.
