Air conditioner Compressor will not run

The air conditioner compressor will not run unless I ground one of the wires where the low pressure switch connector. I have already replaced the LP switch and recharged the system with 1.75 lbs of Freon after replacing the LP switch.

So what are the high and low air conditioner pressures at idle?

The low side was 36 and the high was 180

What are the pressures without the pressure switch jumped and the compressor off?

Without compressor running the High Side is 80 and the Low side is 115

Something is blocked internally. The low shouldn't be that high in the off mode. Saturntech, what do you think, orifice tube?

Try following the trouble tree I posted for AC compressor not coming on and let me know where it leads you.

Guys I got mixed up on the high on low side the low side is 80 and the high side is 115

Also remember that the ac cools very good - as long as you have the green wire with a red stripe at the pressure switch grounded.

If I may, it sounds like you have an amplifier resistor that has gone out, here is a diagram to do some checking, but that what it looks like it could be
