Ac compressor issue keeps cycling?

Hello,

Is the high side connected? I would make sure the high side valve is connected to the system correctly so it reads pressure. If it is connected correctly try putting more refrigerant in to see if you can get a high side pressure response, please go over this video as well.

ya it is connected. This new ac can tap design is driving me crazy, I cannot tell whether it is letting freon out or not compared to the old ones that just pinch the can

but I did not open the port from either side of high pressure I think

This is with both open at the charging ports and both closed at the gauges

Turned out maybe i was using the wrong tap. I connexted the normal hose that comes with a can and i was able to add but its at the limit between green abd yellow now. Ac is cold. Compressor making a noise so maybe bad

sounds like this might be the last resort...it might have been low on pag oil if it hasn't been long maybe ad some pag oil to see if it quiets down but if it doesn't then the damage has been done and you might need a new pump

Also it will cycle like that when you dont have enough refrigerant in the system so you might need more ... while adding it slowly you can hear a change the cycling it gets longer in between times clicking on and off but finally stops cycling when it nears max capacity also make sure youre using the correct refrigerant for the vehicle r1234? Or r134a? And another side note the cans come different ways some have pag oil in the can and some dont and the oils are also different for different types of gas so if you dont think it needs oil you can just buy the type without the pag oil in the can... hope this helps good luck '
