A/C compressor will not turn on unless jumped with a relay

A/C compressor will not turn on unless jumped with a relay. when I take the paperclip off the relay box it turn back off. what can be the problem and how can I fix it?

You need to go to the relay and make sure you have 2 terminals with power with the key in the on position.
