Hi. My AC compressor went out. I need to bypass the compressor so I can drive to the repair shop. Do you know what size belt I would need to do this? Or if I can on the car listed above?

Hello,

It does look like you can use a shorter belt to bypass the compressor. It will be a bit of trail and error which the parts people are used to. I would start with a three inch shorted belt. Here are some diagrams so you can see what you are in for when doing the job. Please report back with the belt size.

Check out the diagrams (below). Please let us know what you find.

Cheers, Ken

Hi Tim, the person never responded to us letting us know the results. I wish I had a specific answer, but you do what Ken suggested above. You could also try using a tape measure and see if you can measure the length by following the belt diagram and bypassing the compressor.

If possible, let us know how it turns out for you.

Take care,

Joe
