I am working on my AC on my van, Limited model. When charging the system, I am supposed to maintain 2,000 rpm's. This vehicle, along with countless others, features ‘fly by wire’ accelerator linkage (no cable from foot to throttle body). Question: Is there a sneaky, unknown way to set my engine rpm at 2,000 (without assistance from a helper)?
Thank you, Tim.

Good afternoon.

No, there is not. You would need a helper for that procedure.

You do not need to run it at 2,000 to charge it. You can do it at idle speed. When you verify high and low pressures you do it at idle and at 2,000.
