A/C bypass

I need to know which sized serpentine belt I need to bypass the A/C pulley. It seized up and caused my old belt to melt/snap.
I don't need A/C really at this time of year, nor do I have the money to even get a used part.

Welcome to 2CarPros. The belt needed will depend on which Sebring you have. Chrysler used 2 different vehicles under that name. The 4 door and convertible are one car the 2 door coupe is actually an Eclipse with different bodywork. The first 2 images are the sedan and convertible belt routing. The third is the 2 door coupe. They also used different 2.4L engines.
On the 4 door and convertible you should be able to use a shorter belt but I don't find one listed for a non A/C application. That one would be a trial and error but you can get close if you took a piece of string and ran it around the alternator and the crank pulley, pull it tight and get a belt that long, then see if it clears and the tensioner still works without binding.
On the coupes you need to change the belt and the tensioner pulley to use the non-ac belt.
For those the tensioner needs to have a ribbed pulley and the non-ac belt which a parts store should have in stock.

I have a 2006 Sebring base sedan with 2.4 motor. I used the MasterPro Belt/Hose MasterPro Serpentine Belt | MBH K060431 from O'Reilly auto parts. This is a 43 inch 6 rib serpentine belt that perfectly fit to bypass the a/c compressor - without removing the compressor.
