A/C compressor locked up and burnt the belt off. I replaced the compressor, and the new belt won't fit. Upon further inspection, I discovered that the pulley on the new compressor is about half an inch bigger than the old one. I'm having trouble finding a belt that is a half inch longer. I need to get the vehicle running. What belt would I need, if I were to just bypass the compressor for now?

It sounds like they gave you the wrong A/Ccompressor, possibly the one for the V-6 and not the 4 cylinder you have. The pulley size should be the same for the original and the replacement and they are different between the two engines. I would look at the part number on the unit you received and see what comes up if you search that part number. The reason you need the correct one is because the pulley size determines how fast the unit spins, the larger pulley will spin slower and that could cause problems with the electrical system and set codes because the output isn't correct. The correct Ford part number is - 8S4Z10346A for that vehicle.
