Just ask at the auto parts store for the belt for the same vehicle but without air conditioning. I have had to do this same thing for a friend who had their air conditioner compressor go bad. Here is the diagrams for the belt so you can get an idea of the belt size you might need to try more than one.

Please run down this guide and report back.

Hey,

I saw your reply with the belt size to bypass the a/c pulley for a Santa Fe, but I've got the 3.5 V6.

Do you know which belt I could use? The clutch/bearings are shot on the compressor, and I don't need the a/c.

Thanks!

You can't just bypass the A/C on that car. There has to be something in the position of the compressor to route the belt around. It does not have a clear path between the remaining pulleys.

So.A new compressor or new pulley/bearing? I can't find a bypass pulley that is compatible. Any other thoughts? Thanks

No, you pretty much summed it up. New compressor, new clutch or compressor eliminator pulley if they make one and apparently they don't for that one.

Can I replace the clutch/bearings even though the compressor won't work? I just need it to spin and get out of the way :)

Thanks!

Sorry wrench tech didn't see you replied to this one when I posted a reply. But auto zone has just the clutch bearing for 15. If the clutch is still good and not locked up you could change the bearing. Auto zone even rents the tools for the clutch I believe.
