Also, my ax temperature flashes when I first start up my car, the passenger knob is set to cold so I don’t know what’s going on.

Hi,

It sounds like the blend air door actuator for the passenger side has failed. You can remove it and inspect it to see if it moves when you change the temp request. If it doesn't replace the actuator.

The actuator on this vehicle is controlled by an engine vacuum, so there is a chance you have a vacuum leak, the vacuum hose is cracked, or it is disconnected.

The actuator is approximately the center of the dash and mounted on the HVAC box under the dash. I found a basic picture of what you are looking for. Check to make sure the linkage isn't disconnected.

Let me know what you find.

Take care,

Joe
