Code U 1040 has appeared on test and the abs and traction lights come on all the time

clean battery terminal ends and get battery checked for condition including load test. most places do for free. then check grounds on the abs unit make sure it is clean and no corrosion. Then have a pro look at this because you have lost contact with one or two modules on the car.
