My airbag light has been on for while, I took it to a shop got it diagnosed and showed that the driver side resistance was too high, and some other codes. I am not sure if they checked the wires or connections to the car but they told me it was my clock spring that was bad. I looked it up and found if the clock spring goes out so does your horn, cruise control and other stuff. I don't have any of those issues, my horn works cruise control still works. I just want to know that I am not wasting my money buying a new clock spring just to have my ABS light stay on.

Good morning,

Can you give me the actual code that was sent?

As far as the clock spring, if their issue is driver side wiring, that has nothing to do with the clock spring.

Sounds like they are guessing.

Get me the code and I can help narrow the area of failure.

Okay, there is a lot more wrong with this.

Did the airbag deploy from an accident?

I attached the possible issues but all of them point to the control module.

I haven't been in an accident, the airbag light just came on randomly one afternoon a year ago. It used to come on and go off but then stayed on an has been on for a year now.

You are going to need help on this from someone who can perform a diagnosis and not guess at a parts failure.

You need an advanced scan tool to help you with the diagnosis.
