Hello,

The ABS light lights on the combination meter, I tried to read the code using scanner, but the scanner was unable to communicate with it. What could be the cause of the light and how can it be diagnosed? What is displayed is shown below?

Hi,

At the data link connector, I need you to check pin16 for power. It should have power at all times.

If you look below, I attached the schematic related to the DLC. If there is no power to pin 16, check the OBD fuse in the interior fuse box. See pic below.

Let me know what you find.

Thank you very much.
I was able to scan the Engine and the ECT, I thought if it were power related problem, I wouldn't have been able to scan the engine and read codes from it.

Hi,

Were you able to come to any conclusions? You indicated checking the ECT. Did it pass? Also, were any specific codes retrieved?

Let me know.

Hi,

Since it is an ABS issue, I would start by checking the wheel speed sensors. You can do it with a multimeter or voltmeter.

Here is a link explaining how it's done:

Let me know what you find.
