ABS light came on. Scanned it and it is C0110. We originally had the ECBM repaired, and all was good for about a week. Now it’s back on and comes on immediately after being cleared.

Hi,

The code indicates an issue with the ABS pump motor. It has a two-pin connector at the ECBM location.

For this code to set, either we have a short to power, no ground, an open circuit between the ECBM and pump motor, a failed or locked pump motor, or the pump itself is seized.

The ABS pump is integral to the modulator. There are two wires, as mentioned above, that make it work. One is a constant ground. The power supply is controlled by the ECBM.

Since it worked for a bit after the ECBM was replaced, I have a feeling there is a connector issue. Check that first.

Let me know what you find.

Joe

I will check this morning. Could it be a fuse?

I checked the 2-pin connector, no sign of damage or corrosion. I checked the 60amp fuse and it is good. Next steps?

Hi,

Make sure there is power to and from the fuse. Also, check the connector for power and ground. If you have voltage and a ground, the pump should run. If it doesn't, it may be faulty.
