The ABS light turned on in my vehicle listed above and I can’t find what’s causing the issue. Just rebuilt the engine two years ago. Also, the speedometer does not show the speed I am going, it will for a moment then it seems to go crazy, and I have to use google maps to track my speed. Is there anything I can do to fix this or what could be causing the problem?

Hi,

Vehicle speed and distance covered are measured by the Rear Wheel Speed Sensor. The sensor is mounted to the top of the rear axle. That is the most likely cause.

Inspect it to make sure there is no wiring damage.

I attached directions below for replacing it. You could scan to can-bus to see if there are any codes related or simply replace it to see if the problem is resolved.

Let me know if this helps or if you have other questions.

Take care,

Joe
